Over labor day week end Crew 11 took a three day long kayaking trip. It was so much fun!

We recently had a quick day trip to tree top quest where we ziplined and did many rope courses. It was a fun day activity for Crew 11.

The Crew had a blast this weekend at Woodruff and the Venture Olympics! We played games like tug-of-war and did some watersports! Food was great and took some awesome pictures. Full Photos

A few of the Crew had a blast this weekend at Lula Lake! The drive up was so foggy we couldn't see 20 feet in front of us, and the road we drive was partially closed because of a partial landslide. The views were incredible and the food was superb. We camped over looking the lake and walked to the huge waterfall and to the bluff overlooking Flintstone. Throwing tomahawks and knives were involved. Everything was wet. Everything. All the time.  Tyler slept in a hammock even though we all though he was crazy. Mr. Sulhoff attempted a marshmallow, chocolate, caramel and pecans cake in a dutch oven, but it cooked to long and turned into yummy tar. (We dipped cookies in it.) All in all, Lula Lake is definitely a place worth returning to. Full Photos

Today our amateur photographers took a class on some basic elements of photography. We had a blast trying to capture the word we were assigned in images. Thanks to our wonderful teacher, (Mr. Sulhoff) our pictures looked pretty awesome as a plus! The pictures taken by the crew members were done mostly on their phones, with a few exceptions. (Anna, I'm looking at you, Mrs. Borrow-my-dads-professional-and-expensive-hunk-of-a-camera) We still had lots of fun and even got some important business done in our meeting afterward! Thank you to all of you who helped serve at the Foothills District Banquet.  Not only were you great ambassadors for Venturing, you showed the leadership through the district why Crew 11 was the ONLY Crew to earn the Honor Roll Chicken Pin. This distinction is for units to go above Journey To Excellence Gold and really set themselves apart as a strong, healthy unit.  

April 24-26, Woodruff Scout Reservation:  An entire weekend of just Venturing fun!  Join other Crews from all over Region 9 (Southern US) for games, events, activities, and a ton of fun!  More information is pending, so block out the weekend!

Our Crew's first rock climbing adventure!! Had a great time, even though shoulders were sore afterwards!
